Petra started her dance career by taking ballet classes and performing when she was only six years old in her native Czech Republic. She attended a Ballet High School at age of 14 but, everything changed when she was introduced to ballroom dancing.
Petra says: “What is more beautiful than two different personalities and two different souls moving as one when they dance. I’ve always loved to dance and I know dancing is the best way to stay in shape both physically and mentally. When you dance you forget all your troubles and worries disappear. You are just simply having a great time…!”
Petra and her childhood dance partner Rosta Liduch were winners of Czech Championships and finalists and semi-finalist at many International Competitions. They traveled and competed in many different countries including Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, England, Hungary, Austria and the United States. They immigrated to the U.S. in 2004.
Both Petra and Rosta have received training by World Class Dance Coaches and both love the discipline of Dance and practice and compete with the highest passion and commitment.
“There is so much more to dancing than just movement. Dancing is a journey and the farther you go, the deeper you get to know yourself, your strength, your weaknesses and a full sense of emotions. To express those emotions through Dance is my life“
Petra has been teaching for over 10 years and enjoys it very much. Her goal is to make the student feel happy and comfortable. It can be their first dance lesson or someone who is trying to improve as a dancer, to help people achieve their goals is great fun.
“When they meet me for the very first time, they have no idea what they are about to experience. I’m trying to open their heart to dancing and let them see, that it’s not only about the steps. The best reward for me is the little spark in their eyes when they achieve something they didn’t think they could achieve.”
